Los Angeles AIDS leaders came together for an "AIDS Walk LA" breakfast hosted by AIDS Project Los Angeles (APLA) Executive Director Craig Thompson & AHF President Michael Weinstein. At the breakfast, 20 groups were each presented w/checks f...or funds raised for "AIDS Walk LA" as well as a $5,000 donation from AHF for participating in the walk. Among those present were leaders from AID...S/HIV Health Alternatives, Asian Pacific AIDS Intervention Team, BEING ALIVE LOS ANGELES, Camp Kindle, Common Ground, East Los Angeles Women's Center, Amigos Sin Barreras/Friends Without Barriers, HIV & Aids Legal Services Alliance, The Wall—Las Memorias, The Life Group LA, Camp Laurel, Minority Aids Project, Project Angel Food, Project Chicken Soup, Project New Hope, PAWS/LA, South Bay Family Healthcare Center, Valley Community Clinic & the Wellness Works Community Health Center.

Life Group LA was honored this year by having been accepted into the Community Coalition Initiative (CCI) Program with APLA for the 27th Annual AIDS Walk Los Angeles.

78 Life Group LA Team Members along with the West Hollywood Cheerleaders came together and were able to raise an amazing $20,668.00!! Having been the 3rd highest CCI fundraising team, we were also awarded an additional $5,000.00 by AIDS Healthcare Foundation for a whopping total of $25,668.00!

APLA, ala AIDS Walk donates All money raised by our team to The Life Group so that we can continue to provide our services to the community free of any cost! This is a generous offering of support for our POZ Life Weekend Seminars!
